Joan Lundbohm - Director
Joan began her teaching career in 1991 and has been Directing the RHL preschool since 1998. She has been married to her husband Eric since 1981 and they reside in Mission Viejo. Joan and Eric have two adult children; Adrian and Kristin, who are pursuing Graduate Degrees. She has a BA , an Early Childhood Certificate and her Director Credential. Joan loves to read, garden and go for long walks. Her passion is children and providing an excellent learning environment for the students in her care. The preschool is based on both the Theory of Multiple Intelligence which states that each child learns differently – some by hearing, some by seeing, some by touching and on through the eight intelligences. Ideas and concepts are presented in several ways so that each child is given the opportunity to learn. Joan is also an advocate of Emotional Intelligence and how important emotions are in the life of a young child. RHL helps students recognize and learn how to cope with their emotions in positive and productive ways. RHL provides many opportunities throughout the day for students to learn social skills. Joan is so very proud of the environment RHL provides for students and how extremely well prepared RHL students are to meet the demand of elementary school.
Cheryl Ashe-Everest
Cheryl has been teaching since the year 2000. Nine of those years have been spent at RHL. When Cheryl is not teaching, she loves to do jigsaw puzzles and work on needlepoint and cross-stitch. She has been married to her husband Bob for 38 years. Cheryl has a BS in Child Development and an Elementary School Teaching Credential. Cheryl loves children and loves to teach. She loves watching the growth and development each child over the course of a school year. Cheryl’s prayer is that is some small way she can make a difference in the life of a child and that child’s family. Cheryl says, “Working with children keeps me young and I love discovering new ways to engage them and help them in their life long journey of learning.”
Debbie Radosh
Since 2001, Debbie Radosh has been teaching at RHL. Debbie loves reading, cooking and engaging in outside activities such as hiking and the beach. She is married and has two daughters. Debbie and her family reside in Mission Viejo. Debbie holds an AA in Child Development and a Site Supervisor Permit. She is currently pursuing her BA. Debbie has a heart for young children and their families. Her goal is to make the classroom a safe, comfortable environment for the children and to help the children get ready for kindergarten. Debbie is a Jr. Kindergarten teacher at RHL.
Alycia Tucker
Since 2003, Alycia has been teaching at RHL. She is married to Vince and they have two daughters. They reside in Portola Hills. The family loves to go camping with family and friends. Alycia also enjoys photography and scrapbooking. She is currently attending school and is pursuing her BA degree. Alycia holds an AA Degree as well as a CA Early Childhood Teacher permit. Alycia says, “ I have been called to teach young children. I enjoy teaching them new things. The children’s smiles, laughter, and constant curiosity amaze me each day. I get to come to work and see the world through their eyes”.
Cindy Stringham
Cindy has been in the classroom since 1986 and she loves every minute of it. Cindy says,” Young children’s education is my passion and my joy. The children keep me young and enthusiastic about life, and it is a joy sharing their first school experiences with them!” Cindy is married to her husband Del. They have two children and two grandchildren. Cindy and Del reside in Foothill Ranch. When she is not in the classroom she enjoys reading, hiking and boating. Cindy has a BS in Child Development and a Site Supervisor Permit.
Patti May
Patti began her teaching career in 1972. She has been married for 31 years to Dean. They have 3 sons and 1 daughter-in-law. They also have 3 grandchildren who brighten their days. Patti and her husband reside in Mission Viejo. Patti has an AA Degree in Early Childhood. She says, “I love to teach because the children are full of unconditional love. They have a desire to learn and grow at this age and they bring humor and excitement to the art of teaching”. Patti’s goals for her classroom are to bring children to love the Lord and one another. She delights in watching her students learn social skills which will foster a firm foundation upon which to build a successful school experience.
Teri Stirling
Since 1997 Teri has been teaching at RHL. She has been happily married for 35 years. She has three grown and married children, and has three beautiful grandchildren. Teri and Dennis reside in Lake Forest. Teri says, " I enjoy teaching this age very much. The students have a sense of wonder and amazement that is great. They are energizing and fun to share each day with. Everything is new to them. I love teaching them about God's word". Teri's goal is to start her students on a life-long love for learning, and to always enjoy school. When not in the classroom, Teri enjoys, reading, crafts, boating and water-skiing. Teri has a Teaching Permit and an Early Childhood Certificate. She is going to school to further her education.
Betty Benson
Betty began her teaching career at RHL in 2009. She has been married for 19 years to her loving husband Troy. They live in Lake Forest with their three boys, Connor, Liam, and Evan. Betty enjoys scrap booking, long walks and vacationing with the family.
Betty says,” As my children were getting older I knew I wanted to teach preschool age. I love young children’s excitement, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. I want each child to have a positive experience and fond memories of preschool.” Betty is currently attending classes to complete her AA degree. Better currently has her CA Early Childhood Teacher permit.
Melissa Wheelahan
Melissa Wheelahan joined the RHL staff in January 2010. She lives in Laguna Niguel and has three boys, Trey, a sophomore at JSerra Catholic High School, Mason 7th grade and Ashton 5th grade, both at Carden Academy Mission Viejo. Her relationship with Robert Lange Preschool started in 2000 when her children started at the school. Melissa enjoys camping, scrap booking, karaoke and spending time hanging out with her family. Melissa has part of the Children's Ministries team for the past 10 years helping with VBS and special events. Melissa says, "I love working with preschoolers. I know that it is my calling to help enrich their lives through their school experiences." Melissa is has a AS in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Teacher's Permit. She is currently attending Concordia University Irvine and will graduate in May 2012 with a BA in Education.
Devon Larson
Devon has been teaching children for 8 years and has a BS in Child Development as well as a CA Early Childhood Teacher permit. She lives in Aliso Viejo with her husband George and daughter Irelyn. In her free time, Devon enjoys coaching and playing soccer, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Devon says, “I love working with children because they have such a wonderful presence. I enjoy teaching them new things and watching them be creative .”
