Two Year Olds
This program offers a nurturing, loving environment for children who are 2 years old. Our philosophy focuses on connecting with the child and offering experiences and interactions to assist them in feeling safe and loved. From this foundation, the child has the opportunity to develop a sense of safety, self-confidence and trustworthiness which then leads to positive engagement and interaction in the classroom. The 2's classroom is set up with developmental learning centers that are tailored towards the developmental needs of the children in the classroom.
This program is only offered half-day from the hours of 9am-noon.
Traditional Preschool
The preschool program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children 3 and 4 years of age. RHL Preschool is a developmental preschool with a special emphasis on social/emotional development.
We also embrace Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences; recognizing that each child is unique and has their own style of learning. Additionally, RHL Preschool refers to the California Preschool Foundations as the base for our student assessments as we create opportunities for the child to demonstrate their developmental needs and areas of growth.
Each RHL Preschool teacher and staff member has been trained in ensuring their environments support a love of learning as they spark curiosity and growth!
Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program is a 5 day a week program designed for children who have their 5th birthday between September and December. This program is considered full day with instruction hours from 8:30am-3:30pm with full day care added on as an option as well.
The curriculum is created to meet their individual needs preparing them for the Kindergarten experience. The TK program blends social and emotional experiences with pre-academic learning in a play-based environment. The children develop social and self-regulation skills needed to succeed in Kindergarten.
RHL works closely with local school districts to ensure the needs and requirements for Kindergarten readiness are being met. The interactions they experience with their peers and teachers create a positive outsource on problem solving skills, independence and focusing skills.
Kindergarten
Our private Kindergarten offers a small classroom group size and a BIG opportunity for your child to develop the essential skills that will prepare them for first grade. We have a well rounded, hands-on educational approach which includes literacy, math, science, art, music and physical education while continuing to equip our students not just academically but spiritually to be transforming influences in society.
